The Hipobuy Spreadsheet catalogue, and the clauses that follow an item to checkout

Sixteen categories to start from, how a catalogue card turns into a Hipobuy order, and which lines in Hipobuy’s documents apply to each kind of item before you press Submit.

What the Hipobuy Spreadsheet is, and what it is not

The Hipobuy Spreadsheet is a catalogue: product picks you can browse, grouped into categories, each shown as a card with a photo, the seller’s own item name, the category it sits in and a link to the listing. It is a place to find things. The buying happens on Hipobuy, under Hipobuy’s documents, and the seller decides what actually ships.

Three things a card cannot tell you. It cannot tell you the item is authentic: Hipobuy’s Search Terms rule out any check of genuineness or quality by Hipobuy, and its Service Terms make checking authenticity the buyer’s responsibility. It cannot tell you the size will fit: the warehouse check covers size labels against your order, not size errors. And it cannot tell you the item will be accepted for shipping to your country; that is settled by the prohibited list and the line you pick at Submit Parcel.

A catalogue card carries a picture, a name, a category and a link; the contract comes later.

What a card can do is save you searching, and on this site each category comes with the rules that will meet the item later.

Sixteen categories, ten starting points

The sixteen categories also shown on the home page, with a useful check for each product type. Each opens a live category page in the catalogue, except knitwear for women, which opens a search because the catalogue has no women’s category. The cards combine general buying checks with policy notes; the clause list below explains the relevant Hipobuy terms.

SearchSearch Terms

From a catalogue card to Hipobuy’s search box

When you open a card you land on the seller’s listing. To buy, you copy that link into Hipobuy’s search box. Hipobuy’s Search Terms are two sentences long and they are worth reading in full, because they set the tone for everything after: the products come from third-party platforms, Hipobuy only provides search, agent shopping and shipping, and it does not authenticate or evaluate quality or authenticity.

The second sentence is an instruction: accept the search service conditions to display the search results. In other words, even the search box counts as a place where you agree to something. The Search Terms carry no page tag in Hipobuy’s data and no law clause.

Keep the purchase details with the link

A link can contain many variants and can change after you save it. Before submitting it to Hipobuy, record the selected colour, size, quantity and any specification you rely on. Compare a garment’s measurement chart with something you own. If the seller uses the same main photo for several materials, the option text matters as much as the picture.

The catalogue is a discovery tool; it does not supply the goods, collect the order payment or accept the seller’s terms for you. Check the purchase summary and the relevant agreement at the point of ordering. A bookmarked Spreadsheet entry is not evidence that the present price, stock or return conditions remain the same.

Which clauses follow each category into checkout

The notes on the cards are short; here they are in full. None of these rules is about one category alone. Item 1 of the Disclaimer, which says sensitive contents such as essential oils, lotions, batteries and adhesives will be removed from an order, can catch a jacket with a heated lining as easily as a bottle of perfume. Item 2 warns that branded products, large amounts of liquid or powder, items with electrical parts, food and medicine may run into customs restrictions, and that Hipobuy will not bear the consequences.

Five checks for any Spreadsheet site, this terms map included

Spreadsheet sites are easy to make and easy to abandon, so it pays to know how to choose a Spreadsheet site before you rely on one. Our test is short and we apply it to ourselves first.

  • Links that go somewhere real. A card should open the seller’s listing or a live search, not a copied page. Try three at random.
  • Dates on facts. Fees, storage days and shipping rules change. A site that prints them without a date is guessing.
  • Sources you can open. When a site says the agent does something, it should link the agent’s own page.
  • No authenticity promises. If the agent itself says it does not authenticate products, a list that promises authenticity is promising something no one in the chain checks.
  • A named operator and a stated business model. Ours: a partner site paid when readers register through its link.
